Not As Bad As It Seems...

I know right now all hope seems lost. There seems to be no hope for the future. I know after years of needing a franchise quarterback we had one and now he is as good as gone, but I have reaseon to believe that there is hope for the Texans. Here is why.

First and foremost the General Manager Nick Caserio. Although the first thought when Nick was

hired by the Texans by fans was "Oh no another Patriots connection!" I completely

understand that. But let us remove that from our minds for a second and look at what he has done since arriving. Nick has almost completely overturned the entire Texans roster by adding near 53 new players to the team this off-season alone! Whether it was via free agency or trade Nick was working the phones left and right adding depth to every position on this team. Soon after the obvious elephant in the room is taken care of and Nick can trade Watson he

will have a plethora of assets and cap space to revamp this team more than he already has. Nick is a smart man and was a key part of the success in New England. As far as the General

Manager position the Texans are in good hands.

Next let's talk about that Elephant in the Room, Deshaun Watson. Like I mentioned before the General Manager Caserio was dealt a bad hand immediately with the trade request from Deshaun. Regardless of everything going on outside of the game looking at the situation through a football lens shows the team won only four games with Deshaun at the helm last year. And let's be honest no matter what Nick did there was so much wrong from the previous regime he was not going to be able to fix it overnight. In my opinion, Watson wanting out is a blessing in

disguise. Not only will Nick remove his salary from the books when the trade happens but The assets Nick will be able to get back will fast forward the rebuild. Their asking price is said to be three first-round picks, two second-round picks, and Two defensive starters. We haven't seen a trade like this in the NFL in a long time dating back to the Cowboys when the

traded walker. No matter what a trade including Watson at only twenty-five years old regardless of his off-the-field issues, will costs teams a large price then Nick will have all those

assets in return to speed up the rebuild of the team which should help drastically, so when we look back on it we may thank Deshaun for wanting to leave. Although right now I know, we all feel a different type of way.

Next David Culley the Head Coach. Now I know we have all heard it. "He has been around forever and now he gets a shot." "What a joke" I have heard it all too. Here is what I have to

say about that. He is not here to win. Culley is here to build a culture along with Nick to push this team to its future. To clean up all the trash from the prior regime. I don't know if

you have heard this man talk but he gets me ready to go play football!! He is a excellent bridge

Coach and will prove to have been the right hire at the right time.

David and his entire staff including the likes of Lovie Smith, Pep Hamilton, and Tim Kelley to name a few. Are here to get the best out of the players that are here now and to build morale and culture for the future and I believe they will all be able to do that. As for Pep Hamilton. I believe Pep is the next Head Coach in Houston following Culley's inevitable retirement.

Finally, the Texans have a lot of young talent that General Manager Nick Caserio has already brought in via the draft and free agency. First, the draft picks. Their first pick was Quarterback Davis mills out of Stanford. Mills is a project like most players in the third round. He has talent but I'm not going to lie to you and say he is the future. More than likely he will be the backup going forward and the Texans' top pick in the next draft will prove to be the Franchise Quarterback going forward. Next, the Texans traded up and grabbed Wide Receiver, Nico Collins, out of Michigan. Nico is a physical freak he is big, tall, and fast. He isn't afraid to body up a defensive back and go get a pass out of the air. Nico will prove to be more of the future than Davis Mills will. In the 5th round, the Texans grabbed one of the best tight ends in the draft, Brevin Jordan. He will be the tight end of the Texans' future. Brevin is extremely explosive for his position and will be able to blow by linebackers. Brevin and Nico will be big in the coming years for the Texans. Later in the 5th round, the Texans selected Garret Wallow out of TCU, a linebacker who hits the gap with no fear. Also extremely quick and agile. Garrett will be a rotation player going forward for the Texans and a special team player. Lastly, there is Roy Lopez Jr. I am extremely excited about this kid. With a background in wrestling, he has a big stalky built from the ground up and can physically just manhandle offensive lineman. Then in free agency, the Texans added players like Desmond King, Philip Lindsay and Maleik Collins who are all on one year prove it deals and all of which I expect to be around going into the future.

Lastly like I said before this team will likely not be very good this year, but think about it if the Texans are picking number one. Most likely taking a quarterback. Then boom there is the

next franchise guy. Next, you turn to the return you got from the Watson trade and build the roster. By 2023 the Texans are right back in the AFC South race and before you know it competing again! It is bad right now I know. Once Watson is traded things will

start to clear up and the circus will go away I promise you. Stay true and stay loyal Texans fas. It will pay off in the end. Remember today tomorrow and every day after WE ARE TEXANS!
